Basic Info BioMy mother told me she named me after Nancy Reagan but I choose to believe that she was just making a cruel joke.
 |  | I live and go to school in Toronto but I was born in Shanghai, China. My first day in Canada was July 14, 1993. I said goodbye to black boogers and hello to clear blue skies and two people I didn't know that well: my parents. They initially put me in a French emersion school which was very confusing for everyone. I still can't speak a word of French which is unfortunate. I live with my parents in North York which is financially beneficial but emotionally stessful. I have an 11-year-old brother who was an accident (more like a mistake). We get along sometimes but I think we've been pitted against each other too often to maintain a successful relationship right now. In short, I'm not close to my family at all. I love my grandma, that's it. |
I come off as a frigid person sometimes and I'm known to be blunt but I'm a loyal, loving person. I just don't like small talk, I find it awkward. Please make every question you ask me a personal one. Don't waste your time with superficial relationships. Make conversations memorable. I think even with acquaintances, we should all make an effort to get to know each other as people. |
| I am 20 years old and in my third year of undergraduate studies. My current major is psychology though my real passion is English literature and women's studies. I intend to pursue a career in law after completing my BA. Initially, I wanted to be a crown attorney (prosecutor) but have since changed my mind. The criminal justice system is so corrupt, I don't think I can be wholeheartedly integrated in it. I'm not sure what I want to do exactly but something in the realm of feminist law would be ideal. I guess I am more interested in amending laws than using them. I wish I was talented enough to be a writer. One day, I will publish a book with lots and lots of help from someone qualified! |  |  |

I don't watch any tv shows that are currently on the air except for America's Next Top Model. It's a guilty pleasure. I'm not as well-read as I'd like to be on current news events and politics but I'm working on it. My journal is incredibly self-indulgent so if you're the type of person to enjoy learning about other people and their opinions, this is the place for you. Otherwise, you may find yourself unamused. |
 | I am an atheist. I don't subscribe to any denomination of organized religion. I am not spiritual. If you believe in a Judeo-Christian god, I think lesser of you. If you believe in karma, I think lesser of you. That doesn't mean I hate you as a person, I just find you less intelligent. If this bothers you, I don't care. I will do as much about your complaints as whatever deity you pray to - absolutely nothing. I am a feminist. I don't find any comments about demeaning or harming women funny regardless of whether it is a joke or not. I'm not a terribly politically correct person but this is one area I take very seriously. Save your misogynist anecdotes for someone who won't rip you a new one. I'm also extremely disgusted by homophobic or racist attitudes. You should be ashamed of yourself. Body modification interests me. My ears are stretched to 9/16" and 8g. I have my tragus and septum pierced (though the latter is rarely displayed). When I settle on a motif and don't risk being disowned, I plan on getting a fairly substantial tattoo. I don't condone or condemn recreational drugs. I think smoking is an unattractive habit. I have grown out of binge drinking for the most part. It's really on a case by case basis for me. If I ever find myself in Amsterdam, I will probably try every legal drug available. I don't believe in sexual orientation.
